This photo was taken at St Clair's Beach at Dunedin, New Zealand.Time
The sun doesn't set until after 9pm here & it was ridiculously cold & windy. Coming from outback Australia and only in Dunedin for a couple of days I was determined to layer up with as much clothing as possible to get some good shots in the area.Lighting
The sun doesn't set over the beach but I was still able to capture some beautiful colours in the skyEquipment

Old run down piers on a beach at dusk - how could anyone walk past without taking a photo?Editing
The exposure & levels were tweeked slightly in photoshopIn my camera bag
I was travelling through New Zealand with my family when this was taken so had to leave some of my toys at home. I love capturing landscapes so I never leave home without a nice wide angle zoom & another will depend on where I'm heading. My bag also has a stash of filters, spare SD cards, spare battery, small fold away reflector and most importantly - lolliesFeedback
Rug up, it's cold out there! Move around, try different angles, positions and heights. Look for reflections. Perfect place for long exposures to create smooth misty water. Enjoy!
