Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture on the Sligo Creek trail in Silver Spring Maryland

Time

I took the picture in the late morning around 10AM. I took it in mid March.

Lighting

It was a partly sunny day.

Equipment

I used a CANON digital camera. I didn't use any special lens, tripod or flash- just the camera!

Inspiration

I was drawn to this scene by the shadows created by light shining on the trees. Also I enjoy taking pictures of scenery when there is snow on the ground.

Editing

I downloaded the picture on my computer with a Hewlitt-Packard hard drive. I made a print of this photo.

In my camera bag

I just have the digital camera with a memory card.

Feedback

First, pick a day with snow on the ground. Then, an area where lots of trees are, with the sun shining above them to create the shadows. Sunlight for a photo like this is best in the late morning, between 10-11AM.
