This photo was taken at Lincoln park zoo in Chicago, my home city. I took my niece to the zoo for the day. I am an amateur photographer and could not resist when he stuck his tongue out!Time
Early afternoon, beautiful Chicago summer. Sunny, breezy and just gorgeous afternoon.Lighting
Lovely natural light and I just started shooting and this was one of my favorites.Equipment
This was shot with my Nikon D40, lense 18-200mmInspiration
I was admiring the beauty of this animal. The colors and pattern of its markings. As I raised my camera it immediately stuck its tongue. I could not resist. It made me laugh as well as feel a little sad that it's life was stuck in a zoo.Editing
No not at this time.In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon various lenses and just upgraded to a D7200. I carry different filters to use depending on the light and time of day. In additions various caps to contain glare and lighting. A mini tripod that hangs from my camera case backpack.Feedback
Just have fun, when you see something of beauty try to capture the feeling you see through the lense. I am just a amateur and my photography puts a smile on my face and every shot is a memory I hold dear.
