This photo was taken in Redwood Valley in Northern California, surrounding by vineyards. I am a self taught photographer and learning as I go.Time
This was one of my favorite photographs I’ve taken. Every day my friend and I would meet to take our daily walks. Sometimes we would go early in the morning or sometimes we would go in the evening. This particular day was during the early evening.Lighting
As I was walking along this area, I looked over and I was mesmerized how beautiful this scene looked. The green in the grass with the mountain that sits in the background. I was always fascinated with vineyards. What really got me was the glare you see in this photo. It was striking!!Equipment
During this time I had a Nikon D3000 but because I was going on a five mile walk, I only brought my iPhone. I don’t recall which iPhone series I had at this time because I had every series as it would come out, but I believe it might of been the 6 or 7plus.Inspiration
I love to take pictures wherever I go and even if it’s on my iPhone. Whatever kind of camera I have in my hand, that’s what I will use to take a photo because I never know what will catch my eye. Like this scene. The mountain, to he grape vineyard, the sunset, the colors and the glare was all inspiring me to take this photo right then and there.Editing
I did some editing in Lightroom to brighten up the sky and clouds. In my camera bag
I use to always carry my Nikon D3000 and a variety of attachments but I had to sell all my equipment to take care of my daughter financially. As of now, I have the iPhone XS Max. I am wanting to get the iPhone 11pro and purchase another Camera.Feedback
Always have a camera in hand. Even if it’s an iPhone. It doesn’t matter what camera you have to take a great photo. It’s all about how you see things!
