Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a field not too far from my home. It was somewhere I often went in order to practice my photography.

Time

This was taken in the evening as the sun was starting to set. The weather was just right, not too hot and not too cold, and the atmosphere was so relaxing,

Lighting

I noticed the light shining out from behind the tree and knew it was something I wanted to capture. There's something about these kinds of shots that I always love, and I was pleased with the outcome I managed to achieve.

Equipment

I simply used my Samsung NX5 with the basic lense, as this was when I was first starting to experiment with my photography.

Inspiration

The light shining out from behind the tree just struck me as it was so beautiful. I really wanted to capture that moment, as it was such a beautiful evening.

Editing

This photo didn't have any post-processing.

In my camera bag

I, obviously, always have a camera with me, which is still usually my Samsung NX5, as well as the basic lense and any others I feel I might use.

Feedback

Lighting. That's the key. When photography sunsets I'd say the best advice is to make sure the lighting is just right. Too much and you'll lose the detail of the objects in the photograph and the sunset will lose its colour and will be too bright. Too little light and your image will be dark and dull, and won't capture the true beauty.
