Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was captured outside in Ashton Court Estate in Bristol in UK. It was a sunny afternoon and I was visiting the Manor House in the estate. When I came out of the house I decided to see what the herd of deer were up to and this shot is what evolved from my curiosity.

Time

It was around lunch time and I had to find a place to stabslize my equipment as I did not have my tripod on board as I was taking standard lens shots in and around the house. I did have my 75-300 lens on me though so had to improvise and kind of use a fence post as my tripod to avoid camera shake!

Lighting

Light on the day was perfect and sun behind me so not a lot of adjustments to make really.

Equipment

Shot on a canon EOS 350D with 75-300 lens attached. Utilised a wooden fence post as my tripod.

Inspiration

Nature in action was what inspired me to take the shot, I found it all very interesting.

Editing

Shot in JPEG format, I cropped a bit of the u wanted background out to give the impression that these 2 subjects were on their own.

In my camera bag

Canon standard 18-55 lens, canon 70-250 zoom lens as upgraded my camera to Canon EOS 800D since this shot was taken. Also carry a canon fit Sigma macro lens. ND filters, remote shutter lead, flash gun, cleaning cloths.

Feedback

Be patient, as shot took a while to capture.
