Behind The Lens

Location

A college photography studio.

Time

It was in the evening, but the room that I shot this in has no windows so the time made no difference.

Lighting

The room was made pitch black, I used one little bright light.

Equipment

I think the light was similar to a flood light, I used a standard kit lens without a tripod. This shot was easy, it was all down to the set up.

Inspiration

I was having a mess around with low lighting and shadows with random objects.

Editing

Just adjusted the shadows and lightness for a more dramatic effect.

In my camera bag

I do a lot of band and street photography so I only carry my canon 100D with my 15-85mm lens, which is an excellent lens. The filter size is big enough to let enough light in without using flash in a gig and the zoom is good enough for street!

Feedback

Just have a play around with the position of the light, and capture from different angles to see which looks best. It's the same for any photo really.
