This picture was taken at about 7am in Algonquin Park, Ontario. The morning fog was rolling silently through the forest, soon to be evaporated by the rising, increasingly potent sunshine. For just a few seconds, the angle that the sun was shining on this tree cast a shadow onto the fog behind it, with some pretty interesting lines.
