Sleep Peacefully, my Guardian Angel, you have earned it for saving my life this day!

My Sleeping Subject picture can only be one picture. I know it is not a high quality picture, but it is the best I could do with the only camera I had on that day. I enter this picture to honor my Guardian Angel and Hero. This is Ginger and around 5:30 am on January 5, 2014, she woke me with relentless and insistent barking. She began slamming her body against the side of the bed and when I told her to wait and rolled over she hastily ran to the other side and kept up the tirade. She finally succeeded in getting me up and I discovered my apartment building was on fire. I was able to get us out just in time to turn around and see the fire licking its way to my 3rd floor bedroom, and within minutes to see the spot that I was sleeping be completely engulfed in flames. This picture was taken that night as she was finally able to close her eyes to rest. And even then, every time I turned off the lights she would jump up to stand watch. I finally left the light on when I slept so that she would rest also. I lost all my cameras, pictures, and electronic files of every picture I had taken over the years. A friend had given me an old iPhone to use and that is what I used to take this picture.
