Location
I took this shot in the Big Bend National Park in Texas. I can't remember what area of the park we were at, but this area in particular had a few old car bodies. I miss this place a lot!Time
I think it was late morning, early afternoon when my Americorps NCCC teammates and I were hiking in this area.Lighting
It was a cloudy day, but still very beautiful. I felt like it would make this shot look 1930's like with the lighting.Equipment
I used my hand dandy digital camera. I forget the brand, but it's red and I've had it for a very long time. I always meant to dabble with other equipment, but my little red camera has done me fine all these years.Inspiration
Big Bend National Park is full of so many gems like this. I couldn't resist getting a picture that had a old, rustic look to it. I'm a huge history lover and felt that this shot could be magical and fun.Editing
I don't think I did too much. I can't remember if I took the photo in a sepia filter or later applied it. I may go back and do some editing to make some thing really pop and or to try and get the look that I really want.In my camera bag
Usually my little red camera. Sometimes, I break out my only slightly spendier white camera.Feedback
I would say carry some sort of camera with you always. That's really easy nowadays with cameras in our phones luckily! Also, don't be afraid to take pictures of whatever inspires you.
