Are my thoughts as light as feathers?
They seem to weigh me down.
My eyelids shut out the darkness
Yet my smile remains a frown.
The wings upon the butterfly
Beat silently without a sound.
Does this create a wind that’s felt
In a place that cannot be found?
Questions seem to follow me,
With answers just ahead.
I reach & try to grasp just one
Grabbing empty air instead.
I guess that’s just how it is…
A mystery stays deep within.
Some questions will remain unanswered,
Just like neon porcelain.

Art inspired by my imagination. Poem inspired by the song included here.
Originals ~ my beautiful model Ashlin. The peacock feathers are a cool find from when I was in Louisiana. We visited a place that had peacocks walking around & I found 3 feathers just laying in the grass. The feather mask I found at the 99 cent store.
