Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is of a young European Robin taken sometime in late August 2013 at a place called Knypersley Reservoir,Staffordshire ,England, using a Canon SX 50 bridge camera.

Time

This would be late morning, about 10-30 am.

Lighting

The lighting was fairly dull but even due to the bird being photographed under tree cover.

Equipment

Canon SX 50 Bridge camera

Inspiration

I love birds, nature and photography-makes sense to put them together!

Editing

Yes,mostly cropping,a bit of colour adjustment and re-sizing and framing.

In my camera bag

Usually a DSLR and large zooms or telephotos, but occasionally I like to travel light-this was one of those days.

Feedback

I tend to shoot with a high iso and shutter speed to capture movement, aperture or shutter priority, continuous drive, single centre point autofocus so you can pin point focus on the eye-if the eye is out of focus,it ruins the picture-try to anticipate the birds behaviour-observe-they are creatures of habit like us!
