Behind The Lens

Location

Salisbury Cathedral near Salisbury, UK

Time

We had spent most of the day nearby at Stonehenge when we decided to make a quick trip over to check out this cathedral, as my sister had never visited there and she had lived in the UK a couple of different times. We were visiting from the states and thought we better take advantage of being so close to this church.

Lighting

I wanted to try to capture the full exposure my eye could see. So I did a 3 shot HDR +2, 0, -2.

Equipment

I shot this with my Nikon D7000 with Tokina 11-16 at 11 mm. It was a 3 shot HDR image to try to capture all the details I could see but knew the camera sensor wouldn't duplicate in one image.

Inspiration

Just loved this church. Such great features and woodwork and colors.

Editing

I processed it with Lightroom and then with Photomatix for the HDR effect and then finished it with Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I normally have my Nikon D7000 with Tokina 11-16 f2.8, Tamron 24-70 f2.8, Nikon 50 1.8, Nikon 70-200 2.8, and Nikon 18-105 all in my ThinkTank Streetwalker Hardrive backpack.
