Location
This photo was taken at Dania Jaialai in Dania, Florida. This old basque sport has been held at this location for 70 years and will close for good November 2021.Time
The shot was taken indoors during an evening performance with available light.Lighting
the toughest problem was shooting in a building with poor lighting as well as having to shoot through a fence which limits your angle of view. The only setting to use with changing illumination was to use auto white balanceEquipment
The shot was taken hand held with a Canon 5d markIII and a 70-200mm f2.8 lens.Inspiration
I love the speed of the sport and always try to get an action frame that includes 2 players with the ball(pelota) in the frame. It is a challange to get all 3 in the frame and capture the speed of the game.Editing
I am pretty much an old school photographer that tries to use and display the file that comes out of the camera avoiding post processingIn my camera bag
My bag usually has 3 bodies either 2 5d mark IV bodies and a mark II or Canon 1DX markII- my usual lens are my 70-200 2.8 24-105 f4 14mm f2,8 and 17-40 f4. Also there will be 2 580ex flash units in my lowpro roller bagFeedback
Last chance to see Jaialai will be the end of November -SAD
