Location
This image was taken at a cemetery in Nice, France. They have a large portion of the cemetery devoted to the graves of soldiers of the first and second world wars.Time
The image was taken midday. When i reached the stairs and saw the gravestones above I immediately though of the Led Zeppelin song ''Stairway to Heaven''.Lighting
It was a stormy day with intermittent sunshine. I waited for the sun to break through the storm clouds from the right, before taking the photograph.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 7D and a CANON EF 24-105MM F4L II USM LENS with skylight filter.Inspiration
The song ''Stairway to Heaven''. We love visiting cemetaries. They reflect history, they tell us stories from the past if you listen long enough.Editing
Simple Lightroom Classic touch-ups: white balance, whites and blacks, sharpening, noise reduction and lens correction, nothing special. In my camera bag
Canon 7d with a Canon EF 24-105MM F4L II USM Lens, various filters, a pocket size Lumix with a Leica 24 to 720 mm lens and tripod.Feedback
Something similar would have to be taken in a cemetery. I have a number of interesting images from cemeteries but this is one of my best if only for the title.
