Great capture!
I wish I had seen this angle when I was there.....My favorite bridge at this time?

Behind The Lens

Location

When walking around Brooklyn in an effort to find a place for dinner, I stumbled across this side street and immediately saw this stunning perspective of the bridge through the buildings. It was only after I looked at the first shot I spied the Empire State Building through the centre.

Time

It was approaching sundown.

Lighting

The time of day helped with the lighting, the sun was coming down helping to create shadows which was assisted with the setting in between the buildings.

Equipment

I used a basic Nikon D3200 with no extra equipment.

Inspiration

Luck. Just having open eyes and glancing down the streets when you walk past them.

Editing

I tweaked some of the lighting and then when playing about on lightroom put it into black and white and it stuck.

In my camera bag

A zoom lens, an extra battery with charger, an extra memory card. I've purchased a lightweight tripod for travelling too which I bought particularly for fireworks.

Feedback

Just keep your eyes open and camera with you on any adventure for every potential photo opportunity!
