This photo was taken on our Alaskan Cruise in 2008 for my husband and my 25th wedding anniversary. The cruise took us into Glacier Bay, Alaska.Time
It was around 10am when we cruised through, when we woke up that morning we looked out the window of our stateroom and saw fog as thick as pea soup. We figured oh great we aren't going to see anything and it will be a total waste. But as we cruised into the bay, the fog cleared and this is what we saw.Lighting
The natural lighting, on this amazingly beautiful morning was perfect for the beauty of the glacier and captured it perfectly.Equipment
I use a Sony Digital Camera, free hand with no tripod or flash.Inspiration
The whole trip was an inspiration and photo opportunities were everywhere.Editing
I only had to do a small amount of editing, with a tiny bit of cropping. Nature did the rest.In my camera bag
I normally have my camera, my telephoto lens, standard lens, tripod, external flash, in my bag. But in this case all I had was my camera.Feedback
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and allow nature to do the rest.
