The Messenger

This piece was exhibited at the 11th international Parallax art fair from the 24th to the 25th of October at Chelsea old town hall on the Kings road London .
The word angel comes from the Greek word angelos, meaning "messenger." In Western religions, the word specifically describes a kind, or benevolent, being. However, in most other religions, the line separating "good" angels from "bad" angels is not always clear. An angel may act benevolently in one situation but with evil intent in another.
In many of the world's religions, angels are spiritual beings who act as intermediaries between God and humans. Messengers of God, angels may serve any of a number of purposes. Their role may be to teach, command, or inform individuals of their destiny. Angels may also act to protect or help people.
The use of the Legion mask as the angel or messenger is a metaphor for The message that is brought to us by the legion of anonymous.

How this piece was created
In the dark of night I set up a black background in the garden put on my my outfit donned my wings and placed on my mask........ 20 mins earlier I set up a selection of manfrotto LED
lighting panels and fired of some test shots to make sure I was stood in the right place I marked my standing position for later and turned off the autofocus on the camera with everything in place I waited for the night............
While stood in front of the camera with all my gear on I placed a Flu tester in one hand while holding the camera remote in the other I ignited the flu tester in my hand adopted my pose and fired the camera using the remote in my other hand ..... this is where the dangers of my art come in as I was doing this the flu tester fell over in my hand and the VERY HOT bit caused a nasty burn to my hand, with all the crazy things I do it was this one that hurt the most ........... So far ?
