I had this image in my mind for over 2 years, I wanted to try and convey some of my Mom's illness in an image, some of the struggles she had. Two of the most major things that happened when she got sick and after her biopsy was she lost the ability to talk and the other thing is she was unable to move the right side of her body. So I had to try and figure out how to show that in an image, she was very aware of everything at the beginning and was very frustrated as well, which I tried to show by trying to rip the rope off. Like I said this is very personal, it is something that helps me heal.
