Location
This Photo was taken from Bakhawan Eco-Park in Kalibo, Aklan, the Philippines. The place is a mangove forest developed from a forest restoration project, which doubles as an a tourist site. It has a 1.3km bamboo/wood trail (as shown in th picture) whcih allows you to go deep into the forest. 'Bakhawan' translates to as Mangrove in the local dialect.Time
I was with my family for a short holiday in the area. It was around 5pm that we decided to take a tour in the place. We went in and took the bamboo trail. As we got deeper int he forest, the sun's golden rays just beautifully reflected the green lushes of the forest. I was on my way forward, then looking back at the trail, I was stunned by nature's colors and decided to take the shot. So, I placed by camera on the wooden trail, and decided to take shot slighly angled to cover more view from above.Lighting
Nature has its own way of playing lights and colors; and sometimes you just have to let nature do its thing. In this case the lighting is natural, no flash or any additional light.Equipment
I had a Canon, PowerShot SX170 IS on hand. I don't really have any other accessories with me. Just point and shoot.Inspiration
Honestly, I love nature. Nature is visually abstract and sophisticated, yet so orderly. Watching nature do its thing make you realize that no human hands can replicate.Editing
There was no post-processing in the image. However, I've set the camera to have vivid colors before taking the shot.In my camera bag
I dont have any fancy gadgets and equipments with me. I only have my point-and-shoot camera with me and sometimes take shots from my mobile phone camera.Feedback
It is important to pay respect to nature. Appreciate its beauty, take time too look, listen and breathe. Every moment with nature is an opportunity to capture its beauty. I am an amatuer and whatever I find pleasing I just position in an angle, check for a good lighting (natural), and take a shot.
