I took this photo on the bridge that overlooks the castle in Bavaria. It was busy on the bridge but staring out at this castle made you feel so isolated - it was beautiful.Time
We had just finished singing in the grounds of the castle and were heading back to our coach for the next concert so it would've been late afternoon. We had an hour of free time so we decided to go on a walk across the gorge and onto Marienbrücke (Queen Marie's Bridge) to get a better view of the castle in all its glory.Lighting
I wish there was some deeper thought about how to frame the light but there really isn't. It was a beautiful day and mother nature provided all the lighting I needed.Equipment
No lens, no tripod, no flash - just my mini Nokia camera and my arm!Inspiration
I took this whilst on Music Tour in Bavaria. This is Neuschwanstein, the fairytale castle of Mad King Ludwig of Bavaria. It's the castle they flew over in the children's film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and I had the pleasure of singing in the grounds of it with my fellow students - It was truly magicalEditing
Usually I would add a little colour or touch up to my photos but this just comes as it is. No touching up - A photo as magical as the place itself. In my camera bag
At the moment its just me and my mobile. I try not to overcomplicate things with millions of accessories - I love simple and raw photosFeedback
Just take pictures of things you love and things you think are beautiful. Always work with the rule of thirds and look at the things surrounded your main object. I love being able to see how isolated the castle is by seeing the gorge and rolling hills off in the distance on the right of the picture.
