This is a true story: Before this picture and the next one I am going to post, I have never had the opportunity to photography a monarch flower. It just happened, one day when I was at the Botanical Gardens, the day before they released a bunch of monarch butterflies. This gentle that works the grounds at the garden called me over before he seen I was photographing a gulf fritllary butterfly... if not for that man calling me over, I would not of been able to capture this photo. I have not seen another monarch butterfly since.
