I was photographing this raptor, which I thought was a Little Eagle, but it wasn't until I reviewed the photos on my laptop I realised he was a Black Kite, a first for me
These guys are known to glide still or hover in the air with only an occasional wing flap allowing them to sneak up on their prey. Seeing this in person is very hard to describe since we are trained to think something that isn't propelling itself off the ground would fall towards Earth, but it is very interesting to see first hand.
