Very nice detail, wonderful colours and fantastic long exposure cityscape capture. Like the effect of traffic light trails with curve. Congrats on your feature.

Location
Standing out the front of St Paul's Cathedral Melbourne adjacent from FLINDERS ST STATION Melbourne, AustraliaTime
It was just before sunset 5:30pmLighting
Some people rush away after the sun has set but I have taken some of my best shots 10 minutes after sunset and thats when I get a burst of soft colours in the sky. I'm spoilt having a NIKON D4 that works perfectly in low light.Equipment
Nikon D4 Nikon 16-35 f4 NDX variable filter (Tip - Pre focus the lens prior to putting the filter on as it can be hard to focus in low light through a very dark filter) Exposure: 10/1 for this shot Tripod RemoteInspiration
This is my home city and I have seen this shot done a million times but I thought I would give it a go just after a Melbourne City Photo walk. I hadn't captured anything worth showing so I decided to hang back for a while and set up at the front of St Paul's to capture the movement of the city and the station just after dark.Editing
I used Lightroom to minimally lighten some under exposed parts but very little, I can honestly say I don't use photoshop. In my camera bag
Depends on what I'm shooting but normally have my Nikon D4s,Nikon 16-35mm f4,Nikon 14mm f2.8 Nikon 24-70mm f2.8, Nikon 70-200mm f2.8, Nikon Sb-910 Other lens I own include Nikon 85mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.4 for weddings. Remote, Filters I have missed some awesome images due to not being organised and have learnt my lesson. I now always have a tripod in the car with extra tripod plates.Feedback
Have a Camera that has Low Light capabilities I used the NIKON D4 Aperture: f/14.0 ISO: 400 Exposure: 10/1 Remote needed. Photography is like fishing, you need patience and the right moment to get your catch. With this image I waited until there were enough cars turning to capture the stream of gold in their lights, complimenting the colour of the buildings and the sky.
