This is my grandfather. He has survived many things in is life. Just one being forced to leave is village and homeland to work forced labor, only at the age of 9. In this camp he lost is little sister, and to this day becomes teary eyed when her name is even mentioned. He had to work hard to keep himself alive at such a young age and I believe him to be one the strongest people I will ever know.

I took this photo on a family cruise. We were at dock, waiting to leave. My little cousins were playing to the left of him, my mother (his daughter) and her sister are sitting to the right, laughing.
Right before I took this photograph I saw him look at all of us and he just smiled his big pooh bear smile. I believe that this photo shows just how happy, thankful, and proud of how his life has turned out. I think it really captures my Dido.
