Location
I took this photo in Carnarvon Ontario at 12 Mile Lake walking along Chambers road back to the cottage, it was the evening before the tornado touched down.Time
I was on my typical evening walk on a dirt road in cottage country and happened upon this photo opportunity, it was in the evening around 7.Lighting
This was natural lighting from mother nature.Equipment
This photo was shot using Olympus e520 camera, 14-42mm lens no flash, no tripod.Inspiration
I was inspired because of the background, and the sunsets are always an eyecatcher for me. The clouds before the storm added a pristine slightly darkened background for my personal taste when taking this photo.Editing
As other photographers will state; landscape photography does require post processing. This photo was cropped and I did an alignment to make the water and background straight. In my camera bag
At the time this photo was taken I only had my Olympus camera and 14-42mm lens that came with it. Now as I try to take more photos I travel with my macro tripod, car window tripod, large tripod, telephoto lens, macro lens and 14-42mm lens, external shutter and always have cleaning wipes for my lenses because you never know when you may need them.Feedback
My advice is if you are travelling throughout anywhere always have your camera ready to go, because you never know when you will happen upon a once in a lifetime shot, whether it is a sunrise/sunset, birds and other animals, that lonely tree with a cool shape to it. Always have your camera handy, I also recommend downloading Photoshop express to enhance some of your pictures. Sometimes you get the perfect shot but the photo isn't straight enough, pop on your Photoshop express and you can fix that. You can also sharpen, dehaze, enhance the vibrancy and saturation to your photos as you see fit.
