Location
This is a photo of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 88 -storey twin structures soar 451.9m above street level.Time
I think it was around 3 pm. This was among the last shots I took just before I had to head back to the airport for my flight home.Lighting
Afternoon light. I think it was somewhat overcast.Equipment
A no-fuss shot using my Olympus TG -630, my favorite all-weather travel companion. No tripod, no other equipment used.Inspiration
It was my first time to travel to Malaysia and I just wanted to take home some travel photos. Most of the photos I took had my face on them (yes of course selfies!) I've seen many photos of the Petronas towers and most were panoramic views, taken from a distance. Since I had the chance to get close enough to the buildings to actually touch them, I tried shooting them in this perspective.Editing
I'm not good at post-processing, as I'm quite new to it , but I did try to make this look just a little bit darker, that's all.In my camera bag
I'm actually a newbie or amateur to digital photography and still trying to learn slowly as there's sooo much to learn. Right now I have very limited equipment in my bag. (I'm a minimalist and I prefer to travel light) A couple of point and shoot digital cameras (Samsung and Olympus), a Nikon D3100 with kit lens, and a cheap tripod are about all I've got, but taking photos with these give me so much joy, excitement and of course satisfaction. My constant companion which I never leave home without is my Olympus TG -630, which I find quite dependable in many outdoor situations -rain/ shine/ wet / dry/ dusty/ salty/ rough/etc.Feedback
There's really nothing much to it. Just keep shooting at your subject, trying different perspectives, or angles, take it easy, and enjoy! That was all I did!
