Looking down at the GPS, it's been 8 miles of hiking. Up and down the dunes of Sleeping Bear. We finally decided to head toward the water. After a relaxing half an hour at the water, we decide it is time to head back. We take the main trail this time, it's a much shorter hike. Noticing a storm rolling in, I encourage we walk a bit faster, but avoid major sand areas as they do nothing but slow us down. The wind kicks up, I turn around to look at the lake; I see sheets of rain, swirling in the distance. Looking up I notice a tornado forming. Not one to shy away from a storm, I stop to take photos. Comfortable in the knowledge that it wouldn't stick if it touches down.
