Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken at the 4th of July 2014 fireworks display in Monroe NY.

Time

It was the finale of the fire works show about 9:50 PM. I used a wide angle lens, and tripod. The photo was bracketed and sandwiched in PS CS6 with basic photo editing.

Lighting

I had no idea if it would turn out due to all the smoke lingering in the air. When the When the "bomb" fire works went off they illuminated the clouds of smoke creating this effect.

Equipment

Canon RebelT3i, Cullman tripod and a scan disk extreme pro 32 gig high speed memory card.

Inspiration

I have always been fascinated with fire works and take photos of them when ever I have the opportunity.

Editing

I did minimum post processing. I merged three exposures and cropped for balance

In my camera bag

Canon Rebel T3i, flash, batteries extra memory cards and 18-200 mm Sigma lense.

Feedback

Use bulb setting in manual, and keep practicing!
