Location
I was in Havana the week that the news that the embargo will soon be lifted. This shot was taken across the street from one of the best hotels in Cuba. The disparity between the world of the tourist and the locals is so apparent if you look behind the facadeTime
I took to walking around Havana between 6am and 7am. There were not many tourists around and the sun had risen just enough to provide light to photograph but not cast harsh shadowsLighting
The sun had not risen above the surrounding buildings so it was reflected and soft.Equipment
Canon Eos 5D MkII At 100mm 0n a 24 - 135mm zoom lens.Inspiration
Everywhere you look in Cuba you see laundry hung out. Seeing this scene in the early morning made me wonder how long she had already been working that day.Editing
