Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the front of my house.

Time

This was done around noon.

Lighting

The place I shot was in the shadow of my house so the lighting was nice and soft but bright enough for an handheld photo.

Equipment

I had made a lens adapter to use a Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 m42 lens with my canon 40D. This was befoe I knew bout flange focal distances so I made a macro extension tube. This image was shot handheld with natural lighting.

Inspiration

I had the home made lens adapter-macro tube thingy and just tried to see wat it could do and I ended up with this photo and a couple more with different focal points.

Editing

I only did a little bit of colour correction in photoshop.

In my camera bag

I usually have a canon 7d with a 28-300, 15mm fisheye, a flash and a couple of memory cards and batteries.

Feedback

Just go out and shoot, you dont need expensive gear to produce cool photos, have fun and experiment.
