Location
It was during the finnish midsummer, I was with my family at summergottage that is on a island or berhaps a dune on the great lake Saimaa here in finnland. it had been raining most of the time and as the rain passed over we had some sun. I don't recall who of us saw it first, but we all ran to the shore and started snapping pics. I had taken only my phone with me so I had to use it to memorize the view.Time
As it is here, the nightless nigt arround the midsummer it is hard to say was it afternoon or evening, but after midday as soon as the hours of rain passed over the summergottage we got warmth and light on the otherside and went out.Lighting
Natural lighting was coming from behind and dark grim rain clouds had just passed the small island, i was trying to get trough a bush to the shore to get an open view over the lake for a pic as I saw thet the clear rainbow had a lighter twin next to it.Equipment
as I had planned just a quick trip with kids to the summerplace I had left my camera home and was carrying only my samsung Galaxay s4 in my pocketInspiration
The view of the grey rain on the otherside of the lake having bright rainbows over it was so itriquing I had to try to snap a photo that only partly can present the beauty that comes after ragin storms.Editing
As I just learning about light and adjustment of cameras I used the enhanced lighting program on this phone, and after I had picture I was satisfied with I turned contrast just enough up to pring the depth on the colours. all alterations have been done on the phone.In my camera bag
I allways cary my phone, to have at least one gadged to take pictures with, but when I'm going to somewhere as I will try to take photos. I had Nikon 40D with 18-55 objektive, and nowadays Nikon 3200D with same pipe bought as a kit, also external flash is found but batteries rarely for it.Feedback
As a "neebie" in photographic only advice i can say and give is: keep your eyes open and let the wormd be your canvas...
