After just getting my Sigma 50mm f-1.4 EX lens (upgrading from a previous 50mm) I wanted to test out the AF and the DOF. I took it to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, near where I am now living, and spent a few hours with the lens. I lucked out with this quick snap. I was trying to get thin depth-of-field shots of the bird stationary, but it all-of-a-sudden took off, and I quickly aimed and fired. I love the framing with the boat behind it! It's RAZOR sharp and I love the background blur, even though it was shot at f-2.5 - the lens can be stopped down quite a bit more!
