Wow , this spider is wicked ! I am an insect enthusiast and have always wanted to see one of these ... I know that they are pretty small , so great job in photographing him . Was the pattern photo shopped or is that it's natural pattern ... if so it should be the winner ! I hope that the spider was treated nicely and released back to where it came from . You have interesting photos , good job ... sincerely Beth

No photoshop other than a zoom and crop. He was sitting on his web, on my lanai where he still lives. They are about a 1/4 inch wide and he sat perfectly still while I got the shot. I see them all the time. While they all have the "skull" pattern, the are not usually this symmetrical, just happened to get the perfect specimen. Thanks for your comments. Josh
