Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at Plymouth aquarium in the south of England on 1 of many visits because i kept going back because i was never happy with many of the pictures i had taken.Time
It was taken in the middle of the day after a second walk about the aquarium as the 1st lot of pictures i had taken was not to my liking.Lighting
The lighting of this picture was from the lights above the tank as i don't like taking pictures of any animals especially of fish with flash as it can damage their eyes especially if they are from deep waters.Equipment
I used a hitachi HDC-88IE 8 mega pixel this is not a very good camera in any respects as i cant afford anything more advanced but hopefully in the near future i may upgrade, but i will say i have used this camera for the past 5 years and have taken some very nice pictures with it.Inspiration
The only thing that inspired me to take this picture is that i really enjoy nature and natural scenes so try in my pictures to take just that, i no this picture was taken in a tank but hopefully i feel i have made the best of this.Editing
On this picture no post processing was used and neither on any of my picture as i feel any picture can be taken without effects with the same amazing result it just takes time.In my camera bag
In my camera bag i have no fancy attachments, no spare camera or batteries for that matter all i have is my camera and the mains cable to recharge my battery, so when i go out to take pictures i have limited time to get my desired pictures, if my battery goes flat then i have to either return on another occasion to continue my pictures or not return and just used my pictures i have taken, not always my favourite option especially in some cases when its not possible to return like when going abroad or a day out somewhere far.Feedback
The only advice i have is if you think it may be a good picture take as many pictures as possible i think on this picture it was my 2nd visit to the aquarium and i think around 35/40 pictures on each occasion for this 1 picture and i think 2 other pictures of these eels and even now its still not my desired final result and will probably return when i get a better camera as there is a little blur in places as i find is normally the case in animals as they do as they please.
