I used to travel a lot for work. Usually when working in NYC I'd stay in a hotel around mid-town near Times Square. On one last minute visit, with limited hotel availability I ended up staying in the Financial district at the Millenium Hilton.
I knew the hotel was close to where the World Trade Center Towers had been, but didn't realize I was so close that my hotel room actually overlooked the Ground Zero contruction.
Thus my little Canon Elph's photo of the great skyscrapers that once were, taken July 5, 2008 from the Millenium Hilton
[The Hotel I shot the photo from is on Church Street between Fulton & Dey although I'm not 100% sure which side of the hotel my room view was overlooking from]. I don't know if the photo officially 'counts' as a photo of skyscrapers.
Although they're not physically there, whenever I look back at this shot - I see the two great skyscrapers that once were in the photo & thought maybe others who were familiar with the area could see them too.
