Breathtaking vista. A wonderful image captured with excellent technique and artistry. Wonder if you wouldn't like to increase the contrast of the sky a bit. Thanks for sharing.

Location
This photo was taken on the mountain on Maui called "Haleakala". It's a dormant volcano. The cones are beautiful. There are trails to hike the area or go by horseback. A must visit area.Time
This was taken around 11:00 am.Lighting
The lighting is usually nice there, because there is a cloud cover that diffuses the bright sun.Equipment
The wind is too strong for a tripod, so I balanced my Canon Rebel on a ledge for this shot.Inspiration
When I saw the beautiful multi colored cones, I knew this would be a perfect photo.Editing
No processing, it's perfect the way it is. The camera doesn't lie in this case.In my camera bag
I carry a Canon Rebel Xti, I also have a Canon 70- 300 zoom, and a also a 17- 40 wide angle lens.numerous filters which I never use.Feedback
When you go visit Haleakala, take a windbreaker. It's very windy, but worth the trip up there. This is a most wonderful sight to see.
