Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo whilst on holiday in Cornwall, we visited a bird sanctuary there and watched the bird display in which this bald eagle took part.

Time

This was taken at midday when the display was over, I was able to get up close to the eagle and that's when I took the shot.

Lighting

I'm an amateur photographer so put my camera on auto settings and close up, and hoped it would capture the moment.

Equipment

I used a LUMIX with fixed zoom lens and took the shot by hand held.

Inspiration

I'm inspired by the moment, when I take photos something deep within me tells me to take the shot, sometimes I don't realise until I download it unto my computer how beautiful and awe inspiring it really is.

Editing

I believe that nature has a story to share with us, so I do very little post-processing,I may crop the photo and correct lighting but other than that I will not alter what nature has to show us.

In my camera bag

I have changed my camera now, and have a Canon 700d, in my bag I also have a telescopic lens to help get closer shots of wildlife from a safer distance that doesn't disturb them.

Feedback

It's about patience, and living the moment as well as taking shots and seeing how they have come out, my best shots have been when I've crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.
