Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in our kitchen in Greenwood, Western Australia
Time
My kids and I used to read every evening before going to bed. So my son thought it would be a good idea to read to our cat Merlin.
Lighting
Since it is inside and only the lights in the kitchen where on, I used the flash on the camera.
Equipment
This shot was from a Canon 1000D with a EFS 18-55mm lens
Inspiration
I tried to take the photo to pull the fiewer into the scene. My parents life far away from our family. This would show them a cute and intimate time my son has with our cat.
Editing
No, I did not do any post-processing.
In my camera bag
I am a beginner at photoghraphy and my usual equipment is my trusty Canon with it's 18-55mm lens on and my 75-300mm zoom lens.
Feedback
This shot happened because I had my camera handy and was quick to think to take a photo of this intimate time my son has with our cat. I was there in the right time.
