Behind The Lens

Location

The rain had slowed which allowed these little guys to extend their voices at our property in Yeppoon of Central Queensland

Time

Hundreds of calls as if to join the party before the mid afternoon was over, the rain has stopped and there was a beautiful still, water still dripping off the leaves and all of the ground covered in the fresh water. These small tropical frogs were flashing their colours with no fear as I walked by.

Lighting

The story becomes complete as his tiny body moves out of focus with no picture alteration in the water due to its crystal cleanness. No sun means the perfect lack of shadow.

Equipment

Nikon D5100, Tamron Macro 90mm 1:1

Inspiration

Nature comes alive during the summer rain, this includes my own sense of curiosity to observe and a play in the water. Being able to capture these moments makes my heart sing.

Editing

no

In my camera bag

My Tamron 90mm macro, my 55-300, spare battery and SD cards, 12v/240 universal lion battery charger, sunscreen.

Feedback

It is easy to photograph anything you are passionate about, get that camera out amongst it, no pro equipment necessary.
