Run.

This photo was taken during a Christmas concert in the Hanley Shopping district. It was dark, cold and heavily raining. The atmosphere was festive, cosy (although outside) and surrounded by community. I had set my camera to the lowest ISO at 100 and had also made sure to have set a fast shutter speed. I then took this picture capturing specs of rain falling in focus whilst everything else in the image is blurred.
In the center of the image, there is a silhouette of a man running away from the camera, he is the main focus of the image. The fence and shadows surrounding act as framing for the character as well as setting the image into thirds. There is a bokeh effect used in the top of the image, these lights are the lights used on the stage of the event, although, by looking at the image, this is not obvious. The bokeh effect gives the image a subtle and gentle feel as well as making it slightly surreal. You can almost see the silhouettes of the crowds starting to surround the stage. The shadows in this image are very dramatic and emphasise that this image was taken at night.
The successes of this image are; the way that I have managed to capture the rain perfectly. also the way that the bokeh effect helps to set the mood of the image and also the balance between the shadows and the light.
I cannot find a weakness about this image, as I am extremely happy about this outcome.
