B17 Bomber 'Sally B' - this aircraft is a 'film star', it played the part of the lead aircraft 'Memphis Belle' the trailing smoke from the engine is to represent it returning from a mission deep in Germany with one of its engines on fire. This aircraft is a fitting memorial to all the young lives terminated during WW2, and in particular, the brave crews who manned these aircraft on our behalf, knowing that their lifespan could be measured in weeks, but who nevertheless carried out their duty.
