Location
This photo is taken somewhere in Belgium, a lovely but creepy building. These kind of abandoned places have my special interestTime
Photo was taken early in the morning. Because of the fact that the caretaker normally patrols the area.Lighting
No particular light settings used, other than camera on manual so that I had total control over how the photo would look like.Equipment
Camera used at that time was a Canon EOS 5D MKII with (I believe, not certain on that) a Canon EF 16 - 36 mm F/2.8 L lens. Tripod used (essential in my opinion for these kind of photos) No flash.Inspiration
I got my inspiration for this shot because of the creepy atmosphere surrounding this buildingEditing
Yes, post processing was done. Bracketing used, in thise case 7 or 9 photos with different light settings. Software used here is Photomatix Pro. After creating a HDR with tonemapping I created a b/w photo. That is it.In my camera bag
These days that would be my Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 24-70 mm F.2.8 L and Canon EF 16-35 mm F/2.8 L lenses.Feedback
If you want to specialize in Urbex ( abandoned places), do some research before entering the premises. Use a (ultra) wide angle lens and a tripod. Also use bracketing where ever possible.
