After hiking to the top of Adam's Peak (Sri Lanka), watching the sun rise at the temple on the summit, and hiking back down (totalling 8 hours), I was blessed by a Buddhist monk for making the pilgrimage. I still wear the band he tied on my wrist - a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
