This photo was taken on the board walk in North Myrtle Beach. We were vacationing and walking along the board walk by the attractions and saw a mother duck and her ducklings going by and was just excited to photograph them up close and personnel. Took several shots they were in and out of the water following where ever she went.Time
This was in the morning we were waiting for things to open and zoomed in on various birds that I saw along the walkway. Very strong sunshine on the area.Lighting
The sun was extra bright that day in the morning loved the shadows and sunshine on the subjects.Equipment
Used my Canon 20x optical zoom Power Shot sx260 HS camera.Inspiration
Took several shots of the Mother duck and her ducklings just had a great time taking shots of the little ducklings by themselves and with the mother duck, this just happened to be the best of the group. She paraded them around for all the tourist who were there to see.Editing
This shot was taken 3 years ago but I usually crop minimally photos to get rid of some unnecessary back ground or to bring in focus more color to the subject but just the edit tool that basic with my pc windows.In my camera bag
Just carry my camera a couple of backup batteries always charged and ready to put in when we are gone for the day. Use very minimal equipment, I do not have the funds to invest in anything more at this time. As I fill up a 16mm photo chip will replace that, usually get 3 months out of one.Feedback
Just look for opportunities when they happen and catch them on your photo device be it a smart phone, great camera or simple camera. Have my camera handy all the time. Walk my 2 dogs 3x day and my camera is what is with me and important as the dog leashes. Traveling everyone should have a camera or their phone handy just do not pass by the everyday and see it through your lens in a different light.
