Little Mia wanted her own fairy tale shoot .I had her hold a clear Christmas ornament and then I promised I would put something special in it when I was editing .. Her cape was actually gold and I hand painted it the blue because the image was two warm and I wanted a cooler color to frame my subject.. It was a cloudy day here in CT and it started to rain but the sun peaked through the clouds and hit my subject perfectly for this shot .. hope you enjoy it as much as I do ..Thanks for viewing

I have actually thought of doing something like this involving a horse, but wasn't sure how I would accomplish it. Thank you for sharing how you did it! This is great!

Im just so honored to be a finalist .. I Thank everyone who voted and left comments . My equipment is basic only kit lenses and an out dated canon T2I but I love Photography and love coming on VB and getting inspired .. There are so many talented photographers I find myself looking for hours on this site at all the work ... I only wish to be as gifted some day ..Thank You all xoxo

Location
I was driving one day and noticed an old abandoned stone house in Attawaugan CT .. I would drive by several times thinking how beautiful the area would be for a session and when I had the chance to do a fantasy shoot again this is where I would go.... and so I did .. unfortunately you cant see any of its beauty in this image but it was the perfect spot for this shot ..Time
I took this shot late afternoon just before duskLighting
The sky was overcast .. It actually started to rain ..As I sat little Mia down and told her to hold the globe I noticed a bit of light peaking through the clouds I quickly had her position herself so the glow would hit her right at the globe and reflect back to her face .. I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful the light hit when I finally uploaded the images it was so hard to see on camera .. It was one of those moments when you scan the images and go ..Now that's a Keeper !Equipment
Canon t2I .. 75-300 kit lens (nothing special ) no flash natural light ..Inspiration
I have a love for fantasy shoots and stylized photography , My subject wanted to have something special placed in the globe and I told her that when when her mom showed her the printed images she would see what magical creature we were able to capture.. (I used a plastic Christmas ornament for the globe )Editing
In editing I used simple overlays with greens and blues .. Skin touch ups in Portrait pro and changed the cape color to blue ... to cool the image .. I also added the Butterfly overlay .. Im just a beginner self taught and love to edit ..I will play with my images sometimes for hours just to get the right look .. and very often give my client several different editing choicesIn my camera bag

when working with children I find that being flexible and just having fun is the key ..We had overcast skies and it actually started to rain but Mia and I made the best of it .. it actually made for this beautiful shot when the sun peaked in to say hi.. we even saw a rainbow .. If the sun didn't come out and the rain got harder I had a back up umbrella for her to hold and she had a change of clothes ..
