Old buildings in Blackett Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne (including the 40m high Grey's Monument) reflected in the glass windows of the Eldon Square shopping centre.
Grey's monument built in 1838 commemorating Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1830 to 1834. His administration also saw the abolition of slavery in the British Empire. In addition to his political achievements, he is also associated with Earl Grey tea which was specially blended for him by a Chinese Mandarin.
