This was taken with my Nikon Coolpix P600 (non DSLR), fixed lens, no flash or tripod.Inspiration
I had been wanting to capture the look on my pit bull's face when she really wants a delicious treat. I succeeded in doing just that.Editing
I edited out the distracting background clutter of the living room and replaced it with a solid black one. I then smoothed the rough edges around the dog using the smudge tool.In my camera bag
I now also use a Nikon D3100, ever since a locally renowned Photographer taught me how to use it. I carry both cameras (that one and my Nikon Coolpix P600), a 70-300mm lens, a tripod, several filters, spare batteries, memory cards, lens cleaning cloths, all in a sturdy case. Never go anywhere without spare batteries and memory cards!Feedback
Late afternoon is a great time to take advantage of direct sunlight for eye pleasing photos.
