The trail into and back from "The Wave" can be of a challenge if you are not paying attention. When you receive your day pass to the "Wave" you get a pamphlet with pictures and GPS readings. Since you travel over a great deal of sandstone just getting to the wave it is easy to get off route. It is extremely important that you are prepared for this venture especially in the summer months. Recently 3 people have died trying to find their way out of the"Wave". You are in the desert and temperatures get well above 100 degrees. The "Wave" is a spectacular place to see so please be prepared, if your phone has GPS learn how to use it and take it with you, just my opinion.
