Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taking just before you get to the Rawah Wilderness area in Roosevelt National Forest in Colorado.

Time

This Photo was taken in between 12:30 to 1:30pm on a cool and windy fall afternoon.

Lighting

This Photo was taken in the afternoon on a very overcast day, as you can tell by the sky in the picture. I've found that taking photos on an overcast day the colors are brighter.

Equipment

This was taken with my Nikon L310, a point and shoot, with the sunset setting turned on.

Inspiration

My inspiration comes from my mom. She was diagnosed with MS, and she was in a wheel chair and unable to go to her favorite place of being in the mountains and feeling the peace that you get from being there. When my mom was stuck in a wheel chair I decided to take photos of the mountains and bring the mountains and the peace she once felt to her. I have no schooling or any knowledge of photography, I credit my my photos of being at the right place at the right time. Lately I've been watching you tube videos on photography since I have upgraded to a DSL camera.

In my camera bag

I now have a DLS camera, with some different lenses and with some filters too. I also carry a lensball, which has helped change things I normally see to whole different perspective

Feedback

when it's an overcast day and you want to bring out colors to your photos, i would recommend it.
